Our
Story
It is not enough to have a good mind. The main thing is to use it well.
Attributed to René Descartes, who laid the foundations of what is considered as modern philosphy, this quote caught my eye in a book of mathematics that our son was using. I was reminded of an afternoon session in the Neev Literature Festival of 2023 when Roopa Pai was talking about Patanjali's Yogasutras and how waves of thoughts keep coming in from the sea, that is our mind. While keeping calm as the waves crash in our shores is a craft we try to achieve in various ways and with varied degrees of success, it is not worth nothing to accept the gifts that these thoughts bring.
For more than two decades, Anasuya and I have relied on each other to exchange these ephemerals, and occasionally, have tried to ferry these gifts in the bylanes of blogosphere, as we navigated together the turbulence of living. This corner of today is perhaps our first attempt to set up a shop together. We offered a window seat to our son Nibir as well, who though agreeing to have his name included and exerting significant influence in the naming of this portal, needed to make a declaration that he has nothing to do with the corniness rampant in here.
Here's to all who might have some element of sapiosexuality in them!
