Written Word
Humans have been expressing themselves and communicating with fellow humans for hundreds of thousand years. From gestures and sounds to art, music, dance, and language, this has been a long journey where the written word's history, as glorious as it may seem, is only perhaps a few thousand years.
And yet, as we were growing up, these written words have been the primary portal for us to feel connected with the greater humanity. Be those dispatches from a far-away land or a distant time, be it a saga or a play, a letter, a novel, a poem or an epic - we lived and died in as many worlds as we have read. And even now, in the throes of the hyper-connectivity of today, these words are often all that we have got to hold on to.
For some like us, the written word is an element of survival. This is an attempt to make the relationship symbiotic.
